This work represents the tension in the effort of changing the course of our existence -- the passage between reality and dream in a parallel dimension haunted by the spirits of our imagination. It transcends rationality to evoke a paranormal experience in which logic is suspended in favor of symbolism as in our dreams.
Often I find inspiration through the observation of organic forms. Lately I have been implementing the concept of organic themes into the process of my work; emphasizing the dramatic impact of natural elements on humanity either through the devastating action of a hurricane or the slow deterioration of architectural structures after years of exposure to the elements. Ultimately, I consider old and abandoned architecture as some of the most inspiring works of art on behalf of nature.
